I love Body Beast! I am a 25 year old female who loves lifting weights. I was lifting on my own for a while but running out of new ideas or ways to get every area - it caused a severe lack of motivation and I was stuck in a major rut. After reading the reviews of the program I bought it right away. I am on day number 4 today and so motivated to continue. I am surprisingly sore (considering I was lifting regularly) and I contribute that to Sagi's thorough and tough workouts! I recommend this to anyone looking for something to get them in shape! I will update my review at the end of my 90 days.
Prior to this I was more used to a half resistance/half cardio workout. So I was wondering if this predominantly resistance workout would actually make me gain unwanted pounds. I've gained pounds, but in wanted muscles. Still maintained the six pack with more bulk in the arms and chest, although not a huge gain. And on those gloomy days when you just don't feel like a faster pace cardio, this workout still gets you into better mood by pushing you harder but at a slower than cardio pace workout. I've been consistently working out so I wasn't going from fat to fit. However, I've gained muscles where other workouts have failed - and I'm nearly 50 years old. Good stuff. I'm also taking Optimum Hydro Whey as a protein supplement. I may want to modify the number of reps in the routine when I do this again. Sagi plays with 15 reps, 12 reps, and 8 reps with lower reps being for the heavier weights. But in order to max, the sequential 15 and 12 reps may be too much (and could only be done with relatively lighter weights). I'd like to change the routine to 12 to 15 reps, 8 reps, and finally 2 to 4 reps (for the heaviest weights).
