I was scared to try this at first, with all the reviews about it causing back issues and such.But I figured, if the plyos are so bad, I'll just tone down those areas a bit. But overall, I didn't think that they were all that bad, maybe some people are going way too extreme or not paying close attention to their bodies as they do this workout. Form is everything when you're working out, especially if you're going to be doing hard conditioning. Yes, the point of this workout is to push yourself and do as much as you can, but if you're going to risk form you're not doing your body any good. If all else fails, take it slow, and repeat a day or whatever you have to.I've done P90X (classic and lean) and a few other different workout programs, so I didn't have any problems going right into this. I enjoyed it. The first couple weeks you're pouring sweat but your body gets used to it. Just in time you move on to the next workouts and are pouring sweat again. I like being able to really feel a workout and this will get you there.It was something new for me. It's fun, Shaun T is entertaining. I like the way the program was made, it's easy to follow along. You get a good workout just from the fitness test, too.Overall, I'm glad I got this to add to my workouts, it changes things up and keeps things interesting. It keeps me working hard and looking good.
I’m 23, female, average weight. I completed the insanity program following the calander 3 years ago, and it put me in the best shape I’ve ever been in. I’ve always been moderately active, but this program was really hard for me at first. It kicked my butt, and kicked me into shape. After doing insanity I was in the best shape of my life! It really slims you down and tones you up!I really feel that insanity changed my fitness forever. My cardio, strength, and endurance have all been better after insanity. I bounce back faster and easier when I’ve gone weeks without exercise.I know that if I do an insanity workout, it will be worth my while. It’s always challenging, never boring, and I always feel accomplished afterwards.I have never done the entire program again by the calander. I’m glad I did it the first time, but it gets boring doing the same thing everyday. However, I enjoy it so much that I still incorporate it twice a week, with running and other workouts on the other days.I highly recommend getting up early and working out first thing in the morning. You’ll spend the rest of your day feeling awesome, because if nothing else, you’ve done an intense insanity workout!! You’ll already have it over with and no excuses at the end of the day.Insanity is fun, and it works!!!!!!! I highly recommend it.
This is a very hard workout that is very hard on your body. I almost got to the end but it was so hard on my body I felt like it was damaging it. I workout a lot and I have never felt like my workouts hurt me like this did. Fast way to lose wait if that’s what you are after but knowing how bad it is for you body I wouldn’t recommend it. If you don’t workout regularly than this is going to be a difficult workout
